Carolyn

Pharmacist Owner/ Senior Care specialist – Carolyn graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy. In 2001, she opened a Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in Saskatoon, In 2004, Carolyn's passion for senior care was recognized by Pharmacy Practice magazine when she was awarded the National Commitment to Care award for her involvement with seniors and the programs she initiated for positive health outcomes.

In 2007, Carolyn was approached to purchase the Saanich Pharmacy in Victoria. The store was founded in 1975 and has served the Gordon head area and beyond for 50 years. The purchase and conversion to a Medicine Shoppe has allowed Carolyn to make meaningful impacts in the lives of her patients. Carolyn enjoys reading up on the latest health care news, family time, travel and a movie.

She is grateful for the Saanich community, and thankful for the ongoing support of all her patients.

Amy

Amy is our Pharmacy Manager and a Certified Respiratory Educator. She also specializes in Travel Medicine. Originally from PEI, where she graduated from UPEI with a degree in Biology, Amy moved to BC for pharmacy school, where she graduated from UBC in 2010.

As an injection certified pharmacist, one of her passions is keeping people healthy through age and travel related vaccinations. In her free time, Amy loves to read, run, practice Pilates and watch movies. She also loves to explore nature and to travel the world.

Tami

Front Cashier/Reception – Tami was born and raised in Victoria. She has been with Medicine Shoppe for four years and has an extensive career in customer service.

Tami is a mom of two adult boys. Her favourite pastimes are baking and riding her bike.
Working with Carolyn, Amy, and the rest of the staff and all our customers feels like I'm always home!

Katlyn

My interest in pharmacy started at a young age. Growing up I was inspired watching my mother provide exceptional care and knowledge as a pharmacist, in what I quickly learned was not an ordinary pharmacy, and I wanted to be a part of something that special. With nearly a decade of experience working at Medicine Shoppe in Gordon Head, my passion for family and community drives me forward in my career as a registered pharmacy technician.

I love constantly meeting new people, learning new things, and solving problems. I’m proud to work alongside family and such a wonderful staff, and most days it truly doesn't feel like work. I especially look forward to the holidays, and working with our community to fund-raise for local families and initiatives. You may or may not recognize me with my ever changing hair colour, but you can count on me to offer a warm smile and a helping hand.

Claire

Pharmacy assistant - Claire was born and raised in France, coming to Canada in 2010 and choosing the city of Victoria to start a new life. With a background in microbiology, Claire decided to leave the academic research behind and changed path to become a pharmacy assistant. After having worked 5 years for one of the big names, she happily joined The Medicine Shoppe #255 wonderful team to find a more meaningful connection with the community.

Claire and her husband have three children. In her little spare time, Claire is a lacemaker with tatting being her main media, although she recently started learning bobbin lace. She is also a member of the local embroidery guild and enjoys the challenges in trying out different types of embroidery.
